Foreword

My life has changed a huge amount in the past three months and an incredible amount in the last six. If you push it back to nine months, I don't have an adjective of the right magnitude for the sum total of change.

I've finished college, started grad school and a new job in a new field. I've moved to a new city in a new state, lived alone for the first time, been engaged and, two months and one day ago, married.

That's really the reason for this writing. Jill (Mrs. Harris) commented about a week ago that so much has happened (and probably will happen) to us that we needed to document it or risk forgetting. So this is our new media journal of choice. You're welcome to peruse our life or follow our adventures (mundane, maybe, typical, perhaps, but new to us and adventures nonetheless) but keep in mind our primary purpose: to keep track of the first year of what we pray will be a long marriage for our own enjoyment and edification.
